Comsat Architects Partners with John Carroll University’s Physics Department on Space Projects!

Comsat Architects (CA), located in Rocky River and John Carroll University (JCU), located in University Heights, have entered a partnership. This collaboration will enhance the Engineering Physics program and expand student opportunities by providing students with hands-on work experience at Comsat Architects while pursuing their undergraduate degrees.

The John Carroll University Physics department currently offers programs in Physics and Engineering Physics, with plans for future expansion. The department is taking strides toward accreditation from the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). This accolade is a major step for the department, facilitating the growth of the engineering portion of the program allowing students to pursue careers as certified engineers.

Comsat Architects’ collaboration with JCU offers a unique opportunity for students, bringing mutual benefits. JCU’s dedicated students, known for their robust critical thinking abilities and eagerness to tackle complex challenges, will enrich Comsat Architects. This partnership includes internships, capstone projects, and employment prospects for both present and future JCU students. Mentored by experts at Comsat Architects, these students will delve into diverse fields, including aerospace engineering, semiconductor applications, optical and RF communication technologies, among others. This partnership will enable future collaborations with other JCU departments, such as Computer Science and Business.

Comsat Architects was founded in 2014 in Rocky River, OH, under Blue Cranium, LLC. Our vision is to enhance the communications connectivity between Earth and space for near-Earth and lunar missions.
